Life in Jamestown

You've been living in Jamestown for 15 years. Write about your time there? What sorts of governments have you established? Who has stepped into a leadership role? How is the work getting done in the fields? How has your relationship with the Native Americans changed, particularly after the horrible events in 1622? Has there been any exploration of the rest of Virginia?
Who are the Native Americans?

You aren't alone in the New World. Who are your indigenous neighbors? What tribes are they in? How do they live? What sorts of changes have they had to make since your arrival? Are they kind? Are they vicious? Has anything happened with John Smith?

The Beginning of Jamestown

Life has been hard during your first few years in the New World. What sorts of difficulties have you encountered? How is the weather? What sorts of diseases have afflicted people in Jamestown? Are they any good things to report? And who is this Pocahontas?
Land, Ho!

Finally, after months at sea, you have reached the New World. What did you find when you landed? Describe the area where you settled. Who are the leaders of your new colony? Did you meet anyone in your first few days at camp? How is the building of the fort proceeding?
My Voyage to the New World

You are traveling across the Atlantic Ocean, leaving your home for an unknown world. In your journal, write about the feelings you are experiencing.
Why did you leave England? Who else was on the ship with you? What did you bring? What are you eating? Have you been on the ship for a long time? How were the conditions on the ship? Are you excited to see land and begin your new life in America?
